No export WordPress can use
Framer’s help center says it doesn’t offer HTML export for self-hosting. Its published files can be downloaded, but nothing turns them into a WordPress site you can keep building on.

Framer has no export that WordPress can use, so leaving means rebuilding. We recreate your design in WordPress, move your CMS content, keep your URLs, and monitor search for 90 days after launch.
Teams usually move when the editor bill, plugins, or a growing content library matter more to them than designing on the canvas.

Framer charges $20 a month for each additional editor and $10 a month for each content editor, so every person who updates the site adds to the bill.

Memberships, event calendars, CRM sync, and multilingual SEO each have established WordPress plugins with years of updates behind them.
CMS content is exported with a Framer plugin. Pages are rebuilt as a WordPress theme or blocks, matched to the live site.
| Item | What happens | How we handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Page designs | Rebuilt | Rebuilt as WordPress templates or blocks, matched to the live site on desktop, tablet, and phone. |
| CMS collections | Moves unchanged | Exported to CSV or JSON with a Framer plugin and imported as WordPress posts or custom content types. |
| Images and files | Moves unchanged | Downloaded and re-hosted in the WordPress media library. |
| SEO settings | Moves unchanged | Page titles, meta descriptions, and social sharing images carried into your SEO plugin page by page. |
| Animations and effects | Rebuilt | Recreated with CSS where they help visitors. Any purely decorative effect we plan to drop is agreed with you first. |
| Forms and embeds | Rebuilt | Rebuilt with a WordPress form plugin and reconnected to the same inbox or CRM. |
Redirects and URLs
Framer’s URLs carry over to WordPress cleanly, so most can stay identical. Watch these four details.
Framer CMS pages live under a path you chose, like /blog/. WordPress permalinks (its URL settings) are set to match it.
Framer addresses end without a slash, and WordPress adds one by default. We set WordPress to match your Framer addresses.
Images served by Framer have to be re-hosted before the Framer site is unpublished.
If the site was ever live on a framer.website address, we update links that still point there. You can then unpublish it, or keep a free Framer page on it that links to the new site.
Send your site. We review it and send a quote and timeline within one business day.
We map every old page to its new address, rebuild your templates, and move content, images, and SEO settings on a private preview site you can check.
We compare the old and new sites page by page, point your domain to the new site, tell Google about the new pages, and test each redirect once it’s live.
For 90 days we watch which pages Google indexes and how much traffic your moved pages get. Anything our work caused, we fix at no cost, with reports at 30, 60, and 90 days.

“From” is the starting price for the kind of site described. Prices depend on your site’s size and setup. You get a quote before any work starts, and we don’t bill by the hour.
Nobody can promise rankings after a migration, and we don’t. We commit in writing to the process that protects them.
Every address we find in your sitemap, Search Console, analytics, and backlinks gets a destination: a matching page, the closest match, or a planned removal. You see the full list before launch.
Pages you choose to retire are removed on purpose. If any other old link stops working after launch, we fix it.
We watch which pages Google indexes, any errors it reports, and traffic to your moved pages for 90 days, with a report at 30, 60, and 90 days.
If something we missed or broke causes a problem in those 90 days, we fix it at no cost.
The guarantee covers our work. It doesn’t cover Google algorithm updates, content you change after launch, pages removed at your request, or problems caused by your host, third-party plugins, or other vendors.
If your team designs and publishes in Framer every week and doesn’t need plugins or more editors, Framer is doing its job. Move when you need plugins Framer doesn’t have, or the editor seat bill keeps growing.
Ask if you should stay on FramerCommon questions about moving from Framer to WordPress.
Not directly. Framer’s help center says there’s no HTML export for self-hosting, and its downloadable published files can’t be opened or edited in WordPress. We rebuild the design and move the CMS content through a plugin export.
Yes. We rebuild it to match the live site. A design refresh during the move is available as an add-on.
Usually not. We set WordPress permalinks to match your Framer paths and redirect anything that has to change.
Most Framer paths stay the same in WordPress, so the main risks are images left on Framer’s servers and CMS pages that get missed. We check both before launch, then watch Search Console for 90 days and fix anything our work caused. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings.
Yes. That’s a separate migration with its own page and price: Framer to Next.js, from $4,500.
Most Framer sites with up to 25 pages take three to five weeks.
