Who this WordPress to Shopify migration is for

A good fit

  • Brands with a WordPress blog or content site that drives most of their traffic
  • Small catalogs, up to about 100 products, moving off WooCommerce or adding a store
  • Owners who want hosting, checkout, and payments handled by one platform

Probably not a fit

  • Large WooCommerce stores with thousands of products, variants, and orders
  • Stores that depend on custom checkout logic or WooCommerce-only extensions
  • Content sites with no plans to sell, where WordPress already fits

Why brands move from WordPress to Shopify

Most WordPress-to-Shopify moves come from content-led brands that have started selling and want a store they don’t have to maintain.

Shopify keeps growing

Shopify’s share of sites with a known CMS rose from 5.7% at the start of 2023 to 7.9% in October 2026, while WordPress’s share fell.

Is moving off WordPress worth it?

Shopify adds a monthly plan and usually a few paid apps, so it rarely costs less than WordPress hosting. Brands move for a checkout and store they don’t have to maintain.

What moves from WordPress to Shopify

Posts and pages import well. Products, customers, and orders move with a migration app. Shopify sets its own URL prefixes, so most URLs change and need redirects.

Redirects and URLs

Where WordPress to Shopify moves lose traffic

Shopify sets its own URL prefixes, so almost every WordPress URL changes. Each page that ranks or has links gets a 301 redirect in Shopify’s URL redirects.

Blog posts

Shopify posts live under /blogs/blog-name/. A post at /my-post/ needs its own redirect.

Pages and products

Pages move under /pages/ and products under /products/. WooCommerce /product/ URLs go to the matching product, and /product-category/ URLs go to the matching /collections/ page.

Bulk redirect import

Shopify imports redirects from CSV, so the full redirect map is built and checked before launch.

Archives, feeds, and media

Category, tag, /feed/, and /wp-content/uploads/ URLs are mapped to the closest page or re-hosted file.

Our WordPress to Shopify migration process

1

Quote

Send your site. We review it and send a quote and timeline within one business day.

2

Build

We map every old page to its new address, rebuild your templates, and move content, images, and SEO settings on a private preview site you can check.

3

Launch

We compare the old and new sites page by page, point your domain to the new site, tell Google about the new pages, and test each redirect once it’s live.

4

Monitor

For 90 days we watch which pages Google indexes and how much traffic your moved pages get. Anything our work caused, we fix at no cost, with reports at 30, 60, and 90 days.

How much does a WordPress to Shopify migration cost?

Send your site and we’ll quote it within one business day.

Every migration includes

  • Content and images moved
  • Current design rebuilt, or kept where we can
  • SEO settings carried over
  • Every ranking page mapped to its new address
  • A private preview to review before launch
  • Launch handled, including pointing your domain
  • 90 days of search monitoring
  • Our SEO migration guarantee

“From” is the starting price for the kind of site described. Prices depend on your site’s size and setup. You get a quote before any work starts, and we don’t bill by the hour.

Our SEO migration guarantee

Nobody can promise rankings after a migration, and we don’t. We commit in writing to the process that protects them.

Every known page is mapped

Every address we find in your sitemap, Search Console, analytics, and backlinks gets a destination: a matching page, the closest match, or a planned removal. You see the full list before launch.

Nothing breaks by accident

Pages you choose to retire are removed on purpose. If any other old link stops working after launch, we fix it.

90 days of monitoring

We watch which pages Google indexes, any errors it reports, and traffic to your moved pages for 90 days, with a report at 30, 60, and 90 days.

We fix our mistakes for free

If something we missed or broke causes a problem in those 90 days, we fix it at no cost.

The guarantee covers our work. It doesn’t cover Google algorithm updates, content you change after launch, pages removed at your request, or problems caused by your host, third-party plugins, or other vendors.

When you should stay on WordPress

If you sell a handful of products alongside a large content site, WooCommerce or a simple checkout plugin may be enough without moving the whole site. Large or complex WooCommerce stores need an ecommerce specialist, and we’ll tell you that up front.

FAQ

Common questions about moving from WordPress to Shopify.

Will our blog URLs change?+

Yes. Shopify puts posts under /blogs/blog-name/, so every post gets a one-to-one 301 redirect before launch.

Do customers need new passwords?+

No. Shopify customer accounts don’t use passwords. Customers sign in with their email and a one-time code, so their imported records work from day one. We help you plan an email letting them know about the new store.

How many products can you move?+

The starting price covers up to 25 pages, your blog, and 100 products. Larger catalogs or blogs are quoted once we’ve reviewed the site.

Will we lose our Google rankings?+

Almost every URL changes on this move, so expect some movement while Google follows the redirects to your new /blogs/ and /products/ addresses. Lasting losses usually come from missed redirects or lost SEO titles, and our guarantee covers both. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings.

How long does it take?+

Most content-led stores with up to 100 products take three to five weeks.
