Wix can import your WordPress blog posts, but pages, design, SEO settings, and redirects are up to you. We rebuild the site in the Wix editor, add back what the importer skips, set up redirects in Wix’s redirect manager, and monitor search for 90 days.
People switch from WordPress to Wix to get out of site maintenance and into an editor they can run themselves.

Bookings, payments, chat, and email marketing are Wix apps you switch on, with no separate plugins to install and update.
Running costs on Wix are usually close to what good WordPress hosting costs. The gain is less upkeep and an editor you can use yourself.
Ask us about your siteWix imports WordPress blog posts from your site URL or an export file. It skips tags, author names, comments, and PDFs, so we handle those separately. Pages and design are rebuilt; SEO settings are re-entered.
| Item | What happens | How we handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Blog posts | Moves, with changes | Wix’s importer brings posts with their dates, categories, images, and alt text. We add tags, author names, and attached PDFs by hand. Comments and drafts don’t import. |
| Pages | Rebuilt | Rebuilt in the Wix editor with the same content and structure. |
| Images | Moves unchanged | Uploaded to Wix’s media manager so nothing depends on your old hosting. |
| SEO titles and descriptions | Moves, with changes | Yoast or Rank Math settings are re-entered in Wix’s SEO settings, page by page. |
| Theme and page builder layouts | Rebuilt | Rebuilt in Wix to match your current design unless you choose a refresh. |
| Plugins | Moves, with changes | Replaced with Wix apps or built-in features. Anything with no equivalent is listed in your quote. |
| WooCommerce products | Moves, with changes | Products can move to Wix Stores; order history usually stays as an export for your records. |
Redirects and URLs
Wix uses its own URL patterns, so most WordPress post URLs change. Each one gets a permanent (301) redirect in Wix’s URL redirect manager.
Wix puts blog posts under /post/ by default. That prefix can be renamed, so we match your old paths where Wix allows it and redirect the rest one by one.
Wix allows up to 5,000 redirects per site. When many old URLs share a folder, like /2019/, one group redirect covers the whole folder.
Wix redirects only work once your own domain is connected, so the domain move is planned before launch.
Category, tag, and /wp-content/uploads/ links are pointed to the closest page or to the re-uploaded file.
Send your site. We review it and send a quote and timeline within one business day.
We map every old page to its new address, rebuild your templates, and move content, images, and SEO settings on a private preview site you can check.
We compare the old and new sites page by page, point your domain to the new site, tell Google about the new pages, and test each redirect once it’s live.
For 90 days we watch which pages Google indexes and how much traffic your moved pages get. Anything our work caused, we fix at no cost, with reports at 30, 60, and 90 days.

“From” is the starting price for the kind of site described. Prices depend on your site’s size and setup. You get a quote before any work starts, and we don’t bill by the hour.
Nobody can promise rankings after a migration, and we don’t. We commit in writing to the process that protects them.
Every address we find in your sitemap, Search Console, analytics, and backlinks gets a destination: a matching page, the closest match, or a planned removal. You see the full list before launch.
Pages you choose to retire are removed on purpose. If any other old link stops working after launch, we fix it.
We watch which pages Google indexes, any errors it reports, and traffic to your moved pages for 90 days, with a report at 30, 60, and 90 days.
If something we missed or broke causes a problem in those 90 days, we fix it at no cost.
The guarantee covers our work. It doesn’t cover Google algorithm updates, content you change after launch, pages removed at your request, or problems caused by your host, third-party plugins, or other vendors.
If your site depends on custom plugins or code, or it’s large enough to strain Wix’s limits, staying on WordPress with managed hosting is usually the better call. We check every plugin and feature you use against Wix and list anything it can’t do.
