GoDaddy Website Builder to WordPress, rebuilt and redirected

GoDaddy Website Builder has no export tool, so moving means starting fresh on WordPress. We recreate your pages, move your blog and products by hand, and keep your domain and email working. Every page that ranks or has links gets a redirect, and we monitor search for 90 days after launch.

Who this GoDaddy Website Builder to WordPress migration is for

A good fit

  • Small-business and service sites that have outgrown GoDaddy Website Builder
  • Owners who want control over page addresses, SEO, and design
  • Sites with a blog or small store that brings in search traffic
  • Businesses whose domain and email are at GoDaddy and need to keep working

Probably not a fit

  • One-page sites with no search traffic, where a fresh build is simpler
  • Owners happy with GoDaddy who just want a quick design refresh
  • Large stores with thousands of products, which we quote separately

Why GoDaddy Website Builder sites are moving

The builder is quick to get started with. Sites that grow tend to want more control than it gives.

  • GoDaddy is reshaping its builders

GoDaddy discontinued its AI Website Builder on July 31, 2026, and moved those customers to other GoDaddy products: Websites + Marketing or Airo. Websites + Marketing is still running.

  • No way to export your site

There’s no export tool to move a site off GoDaddy Website Builder, so content has to be saved and rebuilt by hand.

  • Little control over page addresses

GoDaddy Website Builder bases page addresses on page titles, with no way to edit the address yourself, so renaming a page can change its address.

What moves from GoDaddy Website Builder to WordPress

GoDaddy has no WordPress export, so pages are rebuilt and content is moved by hand. Your domain and email stay where they are; only the settings that point to your website change.

Redirects and URLs

Where GoDaddy to WordPress moves lose traffic

GoDaddy addresses follow page and post titles, so they rarely match WordPress page addresses (permalinks).

  • Title-based page addresses

Each GoDaddy page address comes from its title. Every one is mapped to its new WordPress address with its own permanent (301) redirect.

  • Blog post addresses

GoDaddy blog posts use their own address pattern. We collect every post address when we plan your move and redirect each one.

  • Store addresses

Product and category pages are listed before launch and redirected to the matching WooCommerce pages.

  • Files linked from other sites

PDFs and images hosted by GoDaddy are moved and their old addresses redirected where possible.

  • Pages outside the menus

Old pages that still rank but aren’t in the menu are found through Search Console, analytics, and backlinks.

What we guarantee, and what we can’t

No one can promise how Google will rank your site after a move, including us. What we can promise is the work that protects your rankings, done carefully and put in writing.

Ask us about the guarantee

What no one can promise

Google decides rankings, not us. Even a careful migration can cause some movement while Google recrawls the new site and works out what changed, and it can take a few weeks to settle.

Google also changes how it ranks sites throughout the year. If an update shifts your traffic, that isn’t something any migration team controls. Anyone who guarantees your rankings is promising something they can’t deliver.

What we do promise

We take every precaution we know of, and we stay accountable after launch.

  • Every page we can find gets a new home. We collect old addresses from your sitemap, Google Search Console, analytics, and links from other sites. Each one gets a destination: the matching page, the closest match, or a removal you’ve agreed to. You see the full list before launch.

  • Nothing is removed by accident. Pages you choose to retire are removed on purpose. If any other old link stops working after launch, we fix it.

  • We watch for 90 days. After launch we track which pages Google indexes, any errors it reports, and traffic to the pages we moved, and we send you a report at 30, 60, and 90 days.

  • If it’s our mistake, we fix it for free. If something we missed or broke causes a problem in those 90 days, we fix it at no cost.

What it doesn’t cover

The guarantee covers our work. It doesn’t cover Google algorithm updates, content you change after launch, pages removed at your request, or problems caused by your host, third-party plugins, or other vendors.

When you should stay on GoDaddy

If your site is small, rarely changes, and brings in little search traffic, GoDaddy Website Builder may be all you need. If you mainly want a fresh look, updating the design inside GoDaddy costs less than a move.

Can GoDaddy export our site to WordPress?

No. GoDaddy Website Builder has no export tool, so we rebuild the pages and move the content by hand, checking each one against the live site.

Can our domain stay at GoDaddy?

Yes. You can keep the domain registered at GoDaddy and point it at the new site. We change only the settings the website needs and keep your email working.

What about our GoDaddy email?

If your email runs through GoDaddy, including Microsoft 365 email bought there, it keeps working. We leave your email settings as they are when we point the domain at WordPress.

Will our URLs change?

Usually, because GoDaddy bases addresses on titles. Every old address gets its own redirect before launch.

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Lasting losses usually come from missed pages and posts, which we map before launch. Expect some movement while Google recrawls. We monitor search for 90 days and fix anything our work caused at no charge. No one can promise rankings, but our guarantee covers our work.

How long does it take?

Most GoDaddy sites with up to 15 pages and a blog take two to four weeks.
