WooCommerce to Shopify, with your orders, reviews, and rankings

Shopify’s free import tool moves products and customers, and leaves out orders, collections, menus, SEO data, blog posts, and reviews. We move all of it, redirect every product and category URL that ranks or has links, and monitor search for 90 days after launch.

Who this WooCommerce to Shopify migration is for

A good fit

  • Store-first WooCommerce sites tired of plugin updates, hosting, and checkout fixes
  • Catalogs of any size, from a few dozen products to several thousand
  • Stores whose product and category pages bring in organic traffic
  • Teams that want hosting, checkout, and payments handled by one platform

Probably not a fit

  • Stores built on a custom-built checkout or WooCommerce-only extensions with no Shopify equivalent
  • Content-led brands with a small catalog, where our WordPress to Shopify migration fits better
  • Stores with little search traffic to protect, which could simply start fresh on Shopify

Why WooCommerce stores move to Shopify

Most moves come from store owners who want to stop maintaining the platform under the store.

  • Plugin security upkeep

Patchstack recorded 11,334 new vulnerabilities in the WordPress ecosystem in 2025, 42% more than the year before, and 91% of them were in plugins. Every plugin is something to update and watch.

  • Ecosystem uncertainty

WP Engine and Automattic, two of the biggest companies in WordPress, have been in court since 2024, and the case was still going in October 2026. For some teams, that’s a reason to depend less on one plugin or host.

  • Shopify keeps growing

Shopify’s share of sites with a known CMS rose from 5.7% at the start of 2023 to 7.9% in October 2026.

Is moving off WooCommerce worth it?

Shopify adds a monthly plan and usually a few paid apps, so it rarely costs less than WooCommerce hosting. Stores move for a checkout and platform they don’t have to maintain.

What moves from WooCommerce to Shopify

Products and customers move with migration apps. Orders, reviews, and SEO need extra steps that Shopify’s own import tool skips.

What moves from WooCommerce to Shopify
Products and variantsMoves unchangedMoved with their images, prices, stock, and attributes. Shopify allows three options per product, so products with more attributes are restructured with you first.
CustomersMoves unchangedCustomer records move. Passwords can’t be moved, so customers sign in with a one-time code sent to their email.
Order historyMoves unchangedMoved with a migration app so customers and your team can still see past orders. Shopify’s free import tool doesn’t move orders.
ReviewsMoves, with changesExported from WooCommerce and imported into a Shopify review app such as Judge.me, where the app supports it.
SEO titles and descriptionsMoves unchangedYoast or Rank Math fields mapped into Shopify’s SEO fields for each product, collection, page, and post.
SubscriptionsMoves, with changesMost saved payment details can move to a Shopify subscription app. Subscriptions billed through PayPal have to be set up again. Subscriptions are quoted separately.
Coupons and gift cardsMoves, with changesCoupons are recreated as Shopify discounts. Gift card balances are moved just before launch so nothing is spent twice.
Theme and pluginsRebuiltThe design is rebuilt in a Shopify theme, and plugins are replaced with Shopify apps or built-in features.

Redirects and URLs

Where WooCommerce to Shopify moves lose traffic

Shopify sets its own address formats, so almost every store address changes. Each one that ranks or has links gets a permanent (301) redirect.

  • Product URLs

WooCommerce products live under /product/ by default. Shopify uses /products/, so each product gets its own redirect to its new page.

  • Categories and tags

/product-category/ and /product-tag/ pages map to Shopify collections, with paged versions handled too.

  • Shop and blog pages

The /shop/ page, filtered shop URLs, and blog posts all need their own redirects. Shopify puts posts under /blogs/.

  • Images and files

PDFs and images under /wp-content/uploads/ are re-hosted and their old addresses redirected.

  • Shopify’s redirect limits

Shopify allows up to 100,000 redirects, and each one only starts working once the old page is gone, so we build and test the full list before launch.

How a WooCommerce to Shopify migration works, step by step

  1. 01

    Quote

Send your site. We review it and send a quote and timeline within one business day.

  2. 02

    Build

We map every old page to its new address, rebuild your templates, and move content, images, and SEO on a private preview site you can check.

  3. 03

    Launch

We compare the old and new sites page by page, point your domain to the new site, tell Google about the new pages, and test each redirect once it’s live.

  4. 04

    Monitor

For 90 days we watch which pages Google indexes and how much traffic your moved pages get. Anything our work caused, we fix at no cost, with reports at 30, 60, and 90 days.

What we guarantee, and what we can’t

No one can promise how Google will rank your site after a move, including us. What we can promise is the work that protects your rankings, done carefully and put in writing.

Ask us about the guarantee

What no one can promise

Google decides rankings, not us. Even a careful migration can cause some movement while Google recrawls the new site and works out what changed, and it can take a few weeks to settle.

Google also changes how it ranks sites throughout the year. If an update shifts your traffic, that isn’t something any migration team controls. Anyone who guarantees your rankings is promising something they can’t deliver.

What we do promise

We take every precaution we know of, and we stay accountable after launch.

  • Every page we can find gets a new home. We collect old addresses from your sitemap, Google Search Console, analytics, and links from other sites. Each one gets a destination: the matching page, the closest match, or a removal you’ve agreed to. You see the full list before launch.

  • Nothing is removed by accident. Pages you choose to retire are removed on purpose. If any other old link stops working after launch, we fix it.

  • We watch for 90 days. After launch we track which pages Google indexes, any errors it reports, and traffic to the pages we moved, and we send you a report at 30, 60, and 90 days.

  • If it’s our mistake, we fix it for free. If something we missed or broke causes a problem in those 90 days, we fix it at no cost.

What it doesn’t cover

The guarantee covers our work. It doesn’t cover Google algorithm updates, content you change after launch, pages removed at your request, or problems caused by your host, third-party plugins, or other vendors.

When you should stay on WooCommerce

If your store is small and runs smoothly, keeping WooCommerce with better hosting may be enough. If your store relies on a custom-built checkout or extensions with no Shopify equivalent, rebuilding them can cost more than keeping WooCommerce well maintained.

Do customers need new passwords?

No. Passwords can’t be moved to Shopify, but Shopify customer accounts sign in with an email and a one-time code, so customers can sign in from day one.

Can’t we use Shopify’s free import tool?

It moves products and customers. It doesn’t move orders, collections, menus, SEO data, blog posts, pages, or reviews, and it doesn’t set up redirects. That’s the part we handle.

How many products can you move?

Any size. The starting price covers up to 250 products and 25 pages. Larger catalogs, subscriptions, and B2B stores are quoted after we review the store.

Will our URLs change?

Yes. Shopify uses /products/ and /collections/, so every product and category address gets its own redirect before launch.

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Lasting losses usually come from missed redirects or lost SEO titles, which we map before launch. Expect some movement while Google recrawls. We monitor search for 90 days and fix anything our work caused at no charge. No one can promise rankings, but our guarantee covers our work.

How long does it take?

Most stores with up to 250 products take three to six weeks. Larger catalogs take longer, and you get a timeline with your quote.
