Weebly to Shopify
For Weebly stores, including the blog and store pages Weebly’s export leaves out.
From$3,500
Typical timeline3–6 weeks
- Products and blog posts moved
- Domain and email switched over with care
- Covered by our SEO migration guarantee
Weebly’s site export skips blog and store pages, and Shopify’s free import tool doesn’t support Weebly. We move your products and blog, keep your order history, move your domain, redirect every page that ranks or has links, and monitor search for 90 days after launch.
Weebly still runs in the US, but Square, which owns it, has been steering customers elsewhere.
Square says it has no plans to discontinue Weebly, but encourages new sites to be built with Square Online for the most up-to-date features.
The Weebly mobile app can’t be downloaded anymore. It only works for people who already had it installed on December 15, 2025.
Square wound Weebly down in 67 countries in 2026, unpublishing sites there on September 27. The US, Canada, the UK, and Australia were not included.
Products move from Weebly’s product export. Orders, the blog, and forms need extra steps.
| Item | What happens | How we handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Products and variants | Moves unchanged | Moved from Weebly’s product export, with every product image checked by hand, since the export doesn’t always include all of them. |
| Customers | Moves unchanged | Customer records move. Passwords can’t be moved, so customers sign in with a one-time code sent to their email. |
| Order history | Moves, with changes | Exported from Weebly and kept for your records, or imported with a migration app if you want it in Shopify. |
| Blog posts | Moves unchanged | Weebly’s site export leaves the blog out, so we move every post, image, and category into a Shopify blog ourselves. |
| Pages and design | Rebuilt | Rebuilt with your Shopify theme’s sections to match the live site. |
| Contact forms | Rebuilt | Weebly’s forms don’t work outside Weebly, so they’re rebuilt and connected to the same inbox. |
| Domain and email | Moves, with changes | We unlock your domain and move it, or point it to Shopify. If your email runs through Weebly, we plan its move first so email keeps working through the move. |
Redirects and URLs
Weebly addresses follow patterns Shopify doesn’t use. Each one needs a matching redirect.
Every Weebly page address ends in .html. Shopify pages don’t, so each page gets its own permanent (301) redirect.
Weebly product and category pages have their own address format. We collect every one when we plan your move and redirect each to the matching Shopify product or collection.
Older Weebly blogs used addresses like /1/post/2014/04/post-name.html. Weebly redirects those only while the site is on Weebly, so we recreate them.
PDFs and images hosted on Weebly break once the account closes. We move them and redirect their old addresses.
Shopify allows up to 100,000 redirects, and each one only starts working once the old page is gone, so we build and test the full list before launch.
01
Send your site. We review it and send a quote and timeline within one business day.
02
We map every old page to its new address, rebuild your templates, and move content, images, and SEO on a private preview site you can check.
03
We compare the old and new sites page by page, point your domain to the new site, tell Google about the new pages, and test each redirect once it’s live.
04
For 90 days we watch which pages Google indexes and how much traffic your moved pages get. Anything our work caused, we fix at no cost, with reports at 30, 60, and 90 days.

“From” is the starting price for the kind of site described. Prices depend on your site’s size and setup. You get a quote before any work starts, and we don’t bill by the hour.
No one can promise how Google will rank your site after a move, including us. What we can promise is the work that protects your rankings, done carefully and put in writing.
Ask us about the guaranteeGoogle decides rankings, not us. Even a careful migration can cause some movement while Google recrawls the new site and works out what changed, and it can take a few weeks to settle.
Google also changes how it ranks sites throughout the year. If an update shifts your traffic, that isn’t something any migration team controls. Anyone who guarantees your rankings is promising something they can’t deliver.
We take every precaution we know of, and we stay accountable after launch.
Every page we can find gets a new home. We collect old addresses from your sitemap, Google Search Console, analytics, and links from other sites. Each one gets a destination: the matching page, the closest match, or a removal you’ve agreed to. You see the full list before launch.
Nothing is removed by accident. Pages you choose to retire are removed on purpose. If any other old link stops working after launch, we fix it.
We watch for 90 days. After launch we track which pages Google indexes, any errors it reports, and traffic to the pages we moved, and we send you a report at 30, 60, and 90 days.
If it’s our mistake, we fix it for free. If something we missed or broke causes a problem in those 90 days, we fix it at no cost.
The guarantee covers our work. It doesn’t cover Google algorithm updates, content you change after launch, pages removed at your request, or problems caused by your host, third-party plugins, or other vendors.
If your store is small, gets little search traffic, and does what you need, there’s no rush. Square hasn’t announced any shutdown in the US. If your business already runs on Square and you want everything in one place, moving to Square Online may suit you better than Shopify.

Shopify’s Store Migration app doesn’t list Weebly as a source, so products move from Weebly’s product export instead.
No. Passwords can’t be moved to Shopify, but Shopify customer accounts sign in with an email and a one-time code, so customers can sign in from day one.
Yes. Weebly addresses end in .html, and Shopify uses /products/, /collections/, and /blogs/. Every old address gets its own redirect.
Any size. The starting price covers up to 250 products and 25 pages. Larger catalogs are quoted after we review the store.
Most Weebly stores with up to 250 products take three to six weeks.
