Lovable to WordPress migration, so your team can edit without prompting

For marketing sites someone built quickly in Lovable that now need updates from people who don’t build. We rebuild the design as a WordPress theme, move the page text into pages your team can edit, connect forms to your CRM, and redirect every address that changes. Then we monitor search for 90 days after launch.

Who this Lovable to WordPress migration is for

A good fit

  • Marketing and campaign sites built in Lovable that several people now need to update
  • Sites adding a blog, resource library, or landing pages on a regular schedule
  • Teams that want edits to go through a content editor, not an AI prompt
  • Companies that already run WordPress and want one place to manage their sites

Probably not a fit

  • Apps with logins, dashboards, or customer data, which fit Lovable to Next.js better
  • Sites one person builds and edits who is happy working in Lovable

Why marketing teams move Lovable sites to WordPress

Lovable makes it fast to launch a site. Day-to-day edits by a marketing team are a different job.

  • Edits run through Lovable’s credits

Lovable lets you edit text in place within daily free limits per account and per workspace. Past those limits, text edits count as build usage and use credits, like asking Lovable for any other change.

  • Exports leave your data behind

Lovable’s Git and .zip exports include files that define the database structure, but not the data in it. Content stored in the database has to be moved separately.

  • No choice of platform

Lovable says it doesn’t offer a choice of framework or database, so the site can’t be switched to a content management system inside Lovable.

What moves from Lovable to WordPress

The design is rebuilt as a WordPress theme with page sections (blocks), matched to the live site. Text written into the code becomes content your team can edit.

What moves from Lovable to WordPress
Page designsRebuiltRebuilt as WordPress templates and page sections, matched closely to the live site on desktop, tablet, and phone. Animations and interactive parts are rebuilt to the nearest WordPress equivalent.
Page textMoves, with changesLovable usually writes text into the page code. We move it into WordPress pages, so editing it no longer means changing code.
Content in the databaseMoves unchangedIf posts or other content live in the site’s database, we export them and bring them into WordPress as posts or their own content types.
Images and filesMoves unchangedDownloaded and re-hosted in the WordPress media library.
SEO titles and descriptionsMoves unchangedPage titles, meta descriptions, and social sharing images carried into your SEO plugin page by page.
FormsRebuiltRebuilt with a WordPress form plugin and connected to your inbox or CRM, such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
Search engine files (sitemap and robots file)RebuiltGenerated by WordPress and your SEO plugin, so every page is listed for search engines.

Redirects and URLs

What to check when moving off Lovable

Most page addresses can stay the same in WordPress. We handle four details to keep them that way.

  • Page addresses

We set WordPress’s page addresses (permalinks) to match your Lovable routes. WordPress adds a slash to the end of addresses by default and Lovable doesn’t, so we match your current format or redirect every page consistently.

  • The lovable.app address

If the site was ever live on a lovable.app address, we unpublish it after launch so Google doesn’t keep a second copy of your site.

  • Images on Lovable’s servers

Images and files are re-hosted on WordPress before the Lovable project is unpublished.

  • Search Console

We verify the domain, submit the new sitemap, and request indexing for key pages at launch.

    Quote

Send your site. We review it and send a quote and timeline within one business day.

What we guarantee, and what we can’t

No one can promise how Google will rank your site after a move, including us. What we can promise is the work that protects your rankings, done carefully and put in writing.

Ask us about the guarantee

What no one can promise

Google decides rankings, not us. Even a careful migration can cause some movement while Google recrawls the new site and works out what changed, and it can take a few weeks to settle.

Google also changes how it ranks sites throughout the year. If an update shifts your traffic, that isn’t something any migration team controls. Anyone who guarantees your rankings is promising something they can’t deliver.

What we do promise

We take every precaution we know of, and we stay accountable after launch.

  • Every page we can find gets a new home. We collect old addresses from your sitemap, Google Search Console, analytics, and links from other sites. Each one gets a destination: the matching page, the closest match, or a removal you’ve agreed to. You see the full list before launch.

  • Nothing is removed by accident. Pages you choose to retire are removed on purpose. If any other old link stops working after launch, we fix it.

  • We watch for 90 days. After launch we track which pages Google indexes, any errors it reports, and traffic to the pages we moved, and we send you a report at 30, 60, and 90 days.

  • If it’s our mistake, we fix it for free. If something we missed or broke causes a problem in those 90 days, we fix it at no cost.

What it doesn’t cover

The guarantee covers our work. It doesn’t cover Google algorithm updates, content you change after launch, pages removed at your request, or problems caused by your host, third-party plugins, or other vendors.

When you should stay on Lovable

If one person builds and edits the site and it changes rarely, Lovable is doing its job. Move when several people need to update pages, publish posts, or run campaigns without prompting or waiting on whoever built the site.

Can we export our Lovable site to WordPress?

Not directly. Lovable exports React code, which WordPress can’t open. We rebuild the design as a WordPress theme and move your text, images, and any database content into WordPress.

Will the site look the same?

Yes, as closely as we can. We rebuild it to match the live site. A design refresh during the move is available as an add-on.

Who can edit the site afterward?

Anyone you give a WordPress account. Pages, posts, and images are edited in the WordPress editor, with no prompting and no code.

What happens to our forms?

We rebuild them with a WordPress form plugin and connect them to your inbox or CRM, such as HubSpot or Salesforce, then test every submission before launch.

Will we lose rankings?

Most addresses stay the same, so the main risks are a leftover lovable.app copy and missing titles or descriptions. We check both at launch. Expect some movement while Google recrawls. We monitor search for 90 days and fix anything our work caused at no charge. No one can promise rankings, but our guarantee covers our work.

Can we move to Next.js instead?

Yes. That’s a separate migration with its own page and price: Lovable to Next.js, from $3,500. It suits apps with logins or data better than marketing sites.

How long does it take?

Most Lovable sites with up to 25 pages take three to five weeks.
